Abstract

This study examines the influence of digital payment systems, namely the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS) and Electronic Data Capture (EDC), and social behavior on the income levels of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Surakarta City. Unlike previous studies that focus on a single payment instrument, this research integrates social behavior variables to determine whether payment system efficiency or social adaptation contributes more to revenue growth. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 100 MSME owners who had used QRIS and EDC for at least one month and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS 29. The findings reveal that QRIS and EDC positively and significantly affect MSME income, with EDC having a more dominant influence, while social behavior has no significant effect on revenue. Simultaneously, the three variables explain 39% of the variation in MSME income. The study highlights the importance of payment digitalization in improving business efficiency and emphasizes the need to enhance financial literacy to optimize transaction data for long-term business growth.
